An Evening With Yes

Last night at The Fox Theatre in Detroit, an almost capacity crowd got to spend an evening with Yes. Since 1970 this band has combined progressive symphonic music with pop rock and made them hits. Yes began the show with “Close To The Edge” and then took us on a historic journey of their catalog with songs like “And You & I,” “Clap,” “Starship Trooper,” “All Good People,” “Perpetual Change,” “Turn of the Century” and “Awaken” to name a few. As old as this band is their music still sounded fresh and young. With almost a three hour show, it was the last song that brought back fond memories for me when they took it home with “Roundabout.”

Detroit’s own Olin Ezra had a chance to sit down and talk with the new lead singer Jon Davison on his journey to joining the band. Look for this exclusive interview in Mays edition of Detroit Live Magazine. Until then enjoy the photo’s of the legendary band we call “Yes”
